Congratulations to Bridgeway Elementary on winning first place in the elementary division of Green Schools Quest! Green Schools Quest is a project-based challenge for K-12 schools that focuses on no and low cost sustainability projects that are student led.
Bridgeway Elementary’s Jeanne Fernandez participated in EarthWays Sustainability Network (ESN) in the 2022-23 school year. ESN is a network of educators that are dedicated to learning more about waste, waste reduction, and recycling in their schools. ESN teachers train with EarthWays Center staff for a year learning about solid waste issues, discovering ways to reduce waste in their school, and implementing new projects to reduce waste and increase recycling rates in the community. Bridgeway’s Quest project this year focused on waste reduction by integrating efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle into their service club, Kiwanis Kids.
