Nature Speaks is a commitment to connect the community to nature through experiences, providing opportunities to engage with nature through the written word, artistic creations, music, movement, and discovery—all designed with a focus on each person’s connection with the natural world.
In collaboration with the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, Nature Speaks presents The Plants of Shakespeare’s Plays—A Guided Tour with Gerit Quealy, author of Botanical Shakespeare.
This experience is included with Garden admission (free for members).

10–10:30 a.m. | Setting the Stage of the Tour
Gerit Quealy provides an overview of the significance of the plants found in the Garden
10:30–11:30 a.m. | Self-guided tour of the plants connected to Shakespeare’s plays. Docents will be spread out throughout the Garden to provide additional information.
