Engraved Garden Bricks

The Members Entry Court of the William T. Kemper Center for Home Gardening is filled with engraved clay bricks. Each brick commemorates a special occasion or honors the memory of a loved one.

Bricks can accommodate names only on two lines of text with up to 26 total characters, including spaces. Bricks are engraved annually in spring and fall.

Engraved bricks are $900 for Garden members and $1,000 for nonmembers.

Dedicated Trees

Many of the trees in the Garden's living collections are dedicated in honor or memory of a loved one. Each commemorative tree is selected in partnership with the family or organization making the dedication. Each dedication is personalized through a tree tag or plaque, depending on the size of the gift, for the life of the tree.

Commemorative tree dedications are available with a gift of $5,000 or more, depending on the size, age, and location of the desired tree. To discuss a tree dedication, please contact donors@mobot.org or (314) 577-5173.

Commemorative Benches

Consider dedicating a bench at the Garden, Butterfly House, or Nature Reserve in honor or memory of a loved one. Each bench is a unique opportunity selected in partnership with the family or the organization making the dedication. Each dedication is personalized through a plaque and creates a special space for visitors to rest and reflect.

Commemorative bench dedications are available with a gift of $30,000 or more, depending on the material and location of the bench. To discuss a bench dedication, please contact donors@mobot.org or (314) 577-5713.

Legacy Giving

Some special donors chose to create a legacy gift that extends beyond their own lifetimes, becoming members of the Heritage Society and allowing the Garden to flourish for years to come.
