Noteworthy Characteristics
× Echibeckia is an intergeneric hybrid of Echinacea and Rudbeckia. This robust hybrid boasts the best of both genera, with the fast growth rate of Rudbeckia and the disease resistance of Echinacea. The large flowers can range in color from orange to yellow and are held above clumps of pubescent foliage. Mature plants can reach up to 3' tall with an equal spread. This hybrid is said to be sterile.
SUMMERINA ORANGE is a compact selection of Echibeckia that features bright orange, 3" diameter blooms a darker orange eye and brown central disk. The blooms appear from early summer into fall, and are held on upright, sturdy stems above clumps of pubescent foliage. Mature plants will reach up to 2' tall with a 1.5' spread. The blooms are attractive to butterflies and other insect pollinators and make excellent cut flowers. This plant is protected by patent number PP25221.
