Register in person at the Visitor Center.
For all ages. Starting January 1st, the Shaw Nature Reserve Hiking Club will begin. Each month 4 new 1.5 to 2-mile (3-miles in the fall) hike routes will be available. Each route includes a map with directions and photos of what's in bloom along the trail which will be available as a paper copy in our Visitor Center. This hike is self-guided but our Visitor Center staff will be happy to help you log your hikes and answer questions when you arrive. Complete all 40 hikes to earn a patch!
2024 Shaw Nature Reserve Hours:
Last entry: 30 minutes before closing
Starting January 8, the Nature Reserve will be closed on Mondays in January and February for site maintenance that will require roads and trails to be closed.
January–March: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
April–May: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
June–August 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
September: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
October–December: 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
